Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl), a woman trying to pick up the pieces after a breakup, believes she will never fall in love again. However, during a family vacation in France, she meets the man of her dreams, the charming and handsome Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher). Three years later, the seemingly impossible becomes a reality as the two embark on their ideal suburban life as a newly married couple. But this ideal is shattered on Spencer's 30th birthday when bullets start flying.
It turns out Spencer never felt the need to tell Jen that he is an international spy. Their perfect life comes crashing down. Learning that her husband is an assassin, Jen becomes determined to uncover what else he has been hiding from her. In the midst of dealing with bullets whizzing through the air, she must also ensure that everything appears normal to their neighbors and families.
